Our Story

For those of you who don't know me, I’ve been into natural skincare formulation for quite some time now. As a kid, I was always curious about what went into my skincare products. I’d tag along with my mom to the supermarket, just to read labels and try to find the best skincare options. For me, “best” always meant something natural, harmless and non-toxic.
But more often than not, I was disappointed. Most products were full of chemicals, fillers (like water) and toxic ingredients. I ended up sticking to basics like rose water, aloe gel, and homemade face packs—at least they felt safe.

During Covid , while talking to a friend, he said..” you know what, why don’t you make your own products.” At first, it sounded crazy. The idea of formulating my own skincare was exciting as I’d have control over what I put on my skin.

I researched and eventually found a formulation school. To be frank, it was difficult. The basics sounded simple but had so many layers to it. I kept going and my final project at the school got excellent reviews. This boosted my confidence. I often gave some of my homemade DIY products to my family and they encouraged me to start selling. I kept experimenting batch after batch, ingredient after ingredient until I made some products that were professional and the world might like.

This is PHI BOTANICALS - a nature-derived skincare brand with no synthetic fragrance, no fillers, and is cruelty free. An artisanal brand, completely Made in India that sells hand-made skincare.
